What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files containing a string of characters that can be placed on your computer or mobile device that uniquely identify your browser or device.
What are cookies used for?
Cookies allow a site or services to know if your computer or device has visited that site or service before. Cookies can then be used to help understand how the site or service is being used, help you navigate between pages efficiently, help remember your preferences, and generally improve your browsing experience. Cookies can also help ensure marketing you see online is more relevant to you and your interests.
What cookies do we use?
We only use the following cookie:
Name: leafext
Domain: ottervalechurches.org
Type: First-party functional
Purpose: Remember visitor preference
Expiration: 1 day
In order to display the maps on our site, content is downloaded from third-party providers, namely openstreetmap.org for the map tiles and unpkg.com for leaflet.js which builds the map on the fly and provides the viewing controls. GDPR states that you have to agree for third-party content to be downloaded. Maps therefore cannot be viewed until you agree. Rather than force every site visitor to accept this one cookie when they visit the site, we ask you to do it when you view a map for the first time. When you do, this cookie is used to remember the agreement so you do not have to do it again on other maps.
If you block cookies, then you will have to agree for each map you view.
How do I clear cookies?
